No Service Funerals | Honouring Your Persons' Wishes

At Life Rites we specialise in holistic funeral care. Sometimes, this means honouring people's wishes to not have a funeral ceremony or gathering. We call this Private Cremation, though it is also known as Direct Cremation or NSNA (No Service, No Attendance).

If your person requested this, it doesn't have to mean that the last time you see them (if you get to see them at all) is at the place of their death, be it home, hospital, an aged care facility or the coroners.

At Life Rites we support many families who have chosen Private Cremation. And we do this holistically, by offering them participation in the after death care process. You can come into our funeral home to assist in the washing, shrouding or dressing of your person, or have a viewing with them. You can be as involved as you feel moved to be. Your last goodbye need not be in a clinical setting, with no knowledge of what happens next. Rather, you can say goodbye in a warm and welcoming environment, taking your time.

If you choose not to participate in this care, you can be assured that we will always give it to your person. Everybody deserves dignified mortuary care.

At Life Rites, our Private Cremation services and care meets the need for simplicity and affordability, offering you so much more than the bare minimum.
