Since 2003, Victoria Spence and Life Rites have served the Greater Sydney region and surrounding communities as Sydney’s only trauma informed, doula-led holistic funeral directors and celebrants.
In 2019 we opened the doors of The Boutique Funeral Home, located in Hurstville in the heart of South Sydney that we share with two other independent funeral directors who look after their own communities. This original funeral home, that harks back to an era where your local funeral director was in your neighbourhood and who was a valued member of your community who knew the people they cared for, and who provided this care in a people centred and scaled funeral home, with all care facilities onsite.
We are extremely fortunate to be holding one of these gems. A place that allows us to provide our unique holistic integrated care.
We offer a complete funeral service of your choice. Your service may be fully facilitated by us, traditional, holistic, family-led, LGBTQI+ Trauma informed care for sudden and traumatic deaths, community-led, celebrant or doula-led … even DIY.
We have a calm and quiet space where you can make arrangements that reflect the life of the person you wish to celebrate and farewell. We can also travel to you, no matter where you are, inside or beyond the Sydney Metropolitan area. So whilst our funeral home is in Hurstville, we continue to service families across the city and state. We have Life Rites team members across Sydney, in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and on the Central Coast.
